Directions on How to Commute to McKinley Hills Fort Bonifacio?

Lately, my team was moved to our office's new site in McKinley Hills. As a result, I had to learn how to commute there by not taking a taxi because that option is very expensive for everyday commuting.

I know that there are a lot of other companies who are also starting to move in to the McKinley Hills neighborhood, so I hope this entry would really be able to help commuters like me.

I learned that there are actually a lot of ways to go there and here is the consolidated information on how to do just that.

The information I am about to give are actually from a very well-organized initiative within our department in helping us move-in smoothly, as well as from some of my colleagues at work who have found out other ways to commute.

  1. City Link Coach Services, Inc.

    Description:

This is the most comfortable way to commute if you're able to catch the scheduled trip.

This is a business class bus (early mornings) or FX shuttle (for later schedules).

    Terminal:

San Lorenzo Show Room just beside MRT Magallanes Station (South-bound to Taft)

    Schedule:

    6:00 AM - 1:30 PM (15 to 30 min. ride intervals).

    NOTE:

They really do leave on time, so if you're late or if the ride is already full, you will have to wait for the next ride. In the early morning (the intervals are by 15 mins). 1:30 PM ride is the last trip to McKinley from the terminal.

    Trip Duration to McKinley:

15-30 mins from terminal (depending on the traffic)

    Drop-off:

Riders will be dropped of in the bus unloading areas right in front of either One-World Square and Two-World Square (the shed in front of the McKinley Hill Information Center near the Chinese International School Manila).

    Return trips to Ayala/Magallanes:

Terminal for return trips is the same area as the Two-World Square drop-off location from 5:00 PM to 7:30PM

    Fare:

    • Php12 for bus trip to McKinley and return-trips.
    • OR Php15 for FX ride.

    Contact Information:

    666-4365 or 798-0135

  2. Jeepney via Guadalupe

    Description:

A jeepney ride is available almost any time of the day, but this is also the most time-consuming way to commute.

Public Jeepney going to Gate-3 but passes by Market Market and McKinley Hills.

    Terminal:

Walking distance of 5 mins from Guadalupe MRT Station (North-Bound to Monumento). This is just beside Jollibee.

    Schedule:

Mondays to Sundays 4AM to 11PM

    Trip Duration:

30 - 45 mins from Guadalupe (depending on the traffic)

    Drop-off:

Riders should get-off the jeep upon arriving at McKinley Hills.

    Note:

Upon drop-off, you would still need to walk some distance to your destination (One-World Square, Two-World Square, etc.)

    Return trips to Guadalupe MRT/Tulay:

Terminal for return trips is the same area as drop-off location.

    Fare:

    • Php12 for a trip to McKinley and return-trips
    • OR Php7 minimum fare to Market Market.

  3. Fort Bus + Jeepney

    Description:

The Fort Bus terminal is just a walking distance from Ayala MRT Station. It directly goes to Market Market, Fort Bonifacio.

However, the trick here is to get off at McKinley Parkway Street (before arriving at Market Market) then ride the same Gate-3 Jeepney as that discussed above, so that you will not need to go through the lengthy Guadalupe Jeep ride. The Gate-3 jeepneys going through here are those that have already gone through the Market Market stop-over.

    Terminal of Fort Bus:

Walking distance of 5 mins from Ayala MRT Station.

    Schedule:

    > Fort Bus:

Not that sure of the exact schedule of the Fort Bus, but it is from Mondays to Sundays, morning to night time.

    > Jeepney:

    Almost 24/7 as discussed above.

    Trip Duration:

    > Fort Bus: 5 to 15 mins from Ayala bus terminal to Market (depending on the traffic)

    > Jeepney: 15 to 20 mins from McKinley Parkway to McKinley Hills (depending on traffic)

    Drop-off:

Riders should get-off the jeepney upon arriving at McKinley Hills.

    Note:

Upon drop-off, you would still need to walk some distance to your destination (One-World Square, Two-World Square, etc.)

Return trips to Guadalupe MRT/Tulay or Market Market:

Terminal for return trips is the same area as drop-off location.

    Fare:

    Fort Bus:

Php11 for a trip to Market Market and return-trips

    Jeepney:

    • Php12 for a trip to McKinley and return-trips
    • OR Php7 minimum fare to Market Market.

  4. Fort Bus + Private Motorcycle Ride

    Description:

The Fort Bus terminal is just a walking distance from Ayala MRT Station. It directly goes to Market Market, Fort Bonifacio.

However, the trick here is that after getting-off at Market Market then you may opt to ride a private motorcycle service (with someone driving for you of course). This motorcycle service is called "Habal Habal".

This is for those who are not afraid to ride a motorcycle.

    Terminal of Fort Bus:

Walking distance of 5 mins from Ayala MRT Station.

    Schedule:

    > Fort Bus:

Not that sure of the exact schedule of the Fort Bus, but it is from Mondays to Sundays, morning to night time.

    > Motorcyle:

Unsure of the exact schedule because I honestly haven't tried this one, but my colleague does opt for this at times.

However, according to my friend who lives near there, this is always available, Mondays to Sundays.

    Trip Duration:

    > Fort Bus: 5 to 15 mins from Ayala bus terminal to Market (depending on the traffic)

    > Motorcycle: estimated 15 mins from Market Market to McKinley Hills (depending on traffic)

    Drop-off:

Since this is like a private taxi ride, you can get off right in front of your building destination.

    Return trips:

Any of those stated in the previous options above.

    Fare:

    Fort Bus:

Php11 for a trip to Market Market and return-trips

    Motorcycle:

    • Estimated Php30 for a trip to McKinley. (word-of-mouth)

  5. Taxi or Cab

    Description:

Of course as a last resort, you can always take a taxi/cab.

For safety and security purposes, it is best to call the taxi company to pick you up and take you to your destination.

Calling for a cab, ensures you and your loved ones that the taxi you are riding is being monitored.

Please don't forget to take note of the plate number and body number, and ask someone (a friend or a family member) to take note of it as well.

Directions to tell the Taxi Driver:

    > From Edsa-Ayala, drive along McKinley Road & turn right at the McKinley Parkway corner Fifth Avenue. Go straight from there & turn left just before the AFP Headquarters.

    > From C5 southbound, drive past Market-Market signs but stay on the right. There's a direct entrance to McKinley Hill immediately after the Petron Gas station.

    Taxi Contact Information:

These are two taxi companies that I like because of their reliable and quality service, and they don't charge you extra for pick-ups.

    > MGE: 3636096, 3648260, 3636096

    > RE: 621890

So far, these are all the information I have. However, I think that there are still some other options which I still don't know about and which haven't tried out yet.

If you know any other options/ways on how to commute to McKinley, please feel free to share and contribute!

Hope this information would really help all you McKinley commuters out there! Take Care and God bless!
